meet miss ruby...

This is Cart's new puppy, Ruby. He named her all by himself and even bought her a new collar and rope toy. He's so proud of her, and he really likes to make her think he's an Indian. (He says that way she will feel safe.)
Kiddos are too much fun!

for baby Piper...

Thanks again, Kelli. Hope she loves it!

our latest edition...

This is our newest member of the Morris family... baby donkey "Sambo". Isn't he the cutest. His proud mama won't let him leave her side, so we have not been able to get our hands on him yet. Carter laughs about his "big ol' ears"!

Did you here that?...

The last book counted for inventory... this year's gradebook being closed for the last time... the last page of the yearbook (except ads) being tweeked before publishing... the last child leaving the building after picking up the report card they were supposed to get on Wednesday...

School's out for summer!!! Everyone have a great, safe summer season. Enjoy it, because it won't last for long.

I will be taking a vacation from life as I know it for 12 weeks. The orders I am currently working on will be the last of the summer. So if you have contacted me, we're good to go. I'm sorry to have to do this, but I want a restful summer vacation, too.
I will, however, be working on Christmas cards, so to place orders for those, please contact me at my home number. (local customers only, sorry, I can't afford the shipping on a 4x8 ft piece of wood!)

Thanks so much to all my loyal readers and customers. See you in August!

another peek for a chick waiting to hatch...

Okay, as we speak, one of my very besties, Kandi, is in a hospital in Jackson, TN being induced with her first bundle of joy. We were college roomates at Tech and have kept in close reach ever since. (We have way too much dirt on each other to ever try and back out of the friendship, haha...) Anyway, if I know her well, she is stilling surfing the net and blogging/email, etc. So here's you a little eye candy of what's coming your way, KK. See you in a few hours. Love you.
(Ben and I begged them to name this child Tom, since it would flow so well with Collins, but she blew off our suggestions. I don't think she takes us very seriously for some reason.)

Happy Mother's Day...

Love this verse. (Wish I could always live up to it.) Happy Mother's Day to my mother and many more.

gone fishin....

A couple of weeks ago, the boys and I went on a little fishing trip. It was actually Carter's very first, and you talk about excited. He kept up with his "fricket bucket" the whole time and was such a big helper with depositing our catches in the ice chest. Our overall total was 116 fish! (These little brim were biting the bait as soon as our hooks hit the water.) The top pic is of 3 beautiful Mallards we surprised on the pier. Their symmetry while swimming was an excellent example of our Father's creation. Just simply splendid.
Thanks again to Mr. Robert Lee and Mr. Kenney for this great opportunity.

my graduate...

Yes, I know this makes me ancient, but I just wanted to let everyone know how proud I am of my nephew, Seth Tom. I cannot believe he is graduating... it just doesn't seem possible. The other remarkable thing is that upon graduating as co-Valedictorian, he will be already classified as a Sophomore in college from taking the last year and a half of college courses. (Yeah, he gets his smarts from his aunt.) It's bad enough his sister, Sassy turned 15 last week! They are still supposed to be babies... Anyway, I thought I'd post these for my buds whom have not seen Seth since he looked like the top pic. I know. Sad, huh?!
I'll end with my favorite Seth story. (Sorry, man, it's just what us proud aunts do.) When he was around 3, he had a mean addiction to Blue Bell Cookies 'n Cream icecream. He was a snob about it, too. No sneaking in any generics, he knew his stuff. Well, one day after realizing I could not fulfill his "Tookies 'n Tream" request because of the lack there of in Mom's freezer, I decided on trying to put one past his palette by serving him chocolate chip. After about 2 spoonfuls and alot of wallerin' around, my mini consure picked a piece of chocolate out of the bowl and brought it to my attention. "Aunt Say, what kind of icetream is this?" I told him I thought it was cookies n' cream. He proceeded, with the chocolate spec on his chubby finger, "Does this wook wike a tookie to you?"
Congratulations, Seth Tom! I'm so proud of you and the man you have become. We love you!

a wild time...

This post is for those of you who couldn't make it to the party last weekend for lame reasons like mandated best rest and such... Anyway, we had a great time! (Is it wrong of me to be glad it won't be another for a whole year?!) Thanks to everyone for making it, and to Lo for playing photographer for the day.
